Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO)
The Luxembourg City Tourist Office proudly presents its new corporate identity - made by binsfeld.
The agency has created a completely new visual image for the LCTO, consisting of a city tourist office logo and a logo representing the destination “City of Luxembourg”.
The city tourist office logo emphasizes on the wide variety of services offered by the LCTO, being active not only in the fields of leisure and business tourism, but also in the organisation of cultural events.
The destination logo will be used for campaigns advertising the city of Luxembourg on the national and international scenes. This logo is associated to a relevant baseline “meng stadt, ma ville, my city”.
The appeal of both logos lies in their modern design and their symbolism: the capital's name “Luxembourg” is written in soft, rounded-off letters with the “m” representing the multitude of bridges and arches, being typical for Luxembourg (e.g. resembling the rocks of the Petrusse Casemates). The tree dots on top of the small letter “m” refer to people joining in friendship and to the crown - thus referring to the history of the monarchy in Luxembourg.
In addition to that, Michel Geimer, a Luxembourgish artist has created Luxembourg-specific illustrations for promotional items and gadgets. The new look will be fully implemented during the following weeks and months on all letterheads, signs and banners of the LCTO, the web site as well as numerous publications and souvenirs.
